Welcome to Sarah's Technology Center. Technology deals with the usage and knowledge of tools and crafts we use to control and adapt to our environment. It all began when people began using tools. Technology can refer to material objects such as machines, hardware, or utensils; but, it can also include systems, methods of organization, and techniques. Virtual technology can be computer software or business methods.
Today it is hard to keep up with all the technological break throughs. It is my hope to explore some of these and put them to use. Of course, I hope to share these findings and invite input and insights from you so we may all learn and grow together.
Recent technological developments, including the printing press, telephone, and internet allow us to interact on a global scale. One way to do this is through Weblogs, better known as “blogs”. Creating blogs and typing articles to post on the internet is the hottest thing and is rapidly expanding to include additional opportunities that are being created almost daily. - I am a mother of two daughters and one son, with eleven grandchildren. As a “baby boomer” I find myself behind the times. My children, and in some instances my grandchildren, know more than I do about computer and internet technology. I have decided to explore the world that is available to us through use of the internet and our computers. At Sarah’s Technology Center, it is my hope to share with others like me what I find and how to incorporate it into our daily lives.
